The town of South Fork is only 18 miles from Wolf Creek and located at the southwestern end of the San Luis Valley. In addition, Pagosa Springs offers a range of amenities and accommodations for the destination vacation traveler. The town adopted its name from the areas Great Pagosa’s Hot Springs (one of the largest mineral springs in the world). The town is situated on the valley floor next to the San Juan River, and surrounded by the spectacular San Juan Mountains. You will classify yourself as either a I, II, or III, I being the lowest tension setting and III being the highest. It is the skiers' responsibility to determine their own skier type.
